Mid-90′s reggae superstar and still one of the best touring musicians in the genre Anthony B (Keith Anthony Blair) has just released his latest album, Tribute to Legends. As the title suggests, it’s an album of cover songs from a variety of rock and reggae stars where Anthony B takes on songs as diverse as Elvis Presley’s Suspicious Minds and Peter Tosh’s Stepping Razor. According to a press release, Anthony B says, “I chose to make a tribute album to first show how much these legends influence my music and my life. I think a lot of our young people need to know where we are coming from musically and to help them be better in the future.”

The album itself was launched in late September in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, United States, and has already been making a huge splash with critics and fans alike. Of the 16 cover tracks, Anthony B’s take on John Lennon’s Imagine is getting particularly high praise for his unique approach to the song, vocally and instrumentally, not to mention how he plays with rhythm throughout.

Still a great voice in roots reggae, Anthony B’s work is high quality and this new album is just more proof that he still has the magic that gave us Fire Pon Rome and Raid The Barn at the beginning of his career.
